Not a huge landmark, I know, but it's still a milestone...

Some good news, at last the extra GB of RAM has arrived and I've located the primary cause of my problems with running Photoshop (yippee!) - my computer runs Windows in a partition, separating off essential functions into a separate BIOS partition, which Windows doesn't like, and, while they do nothing after start-up, the tools that deal with the internet connection get stuck in a loop as Windows tries to ignore them (as they're in a different partition) while also trying to monitor/communicate with them (they are core BIOS functions)... So, to run Photoshop, I need to tell the BIOS to stop looking for available wireless internet connections...

In other news, following my doctor's advice, I may start work on some actual canvasses soon of personal work (read half-cubist, 2/3-de stijl stuff (yes, the two fractions deliberately don't add-up to 1)) so keep eyes peeled (metaphorically speaking).

EDIT: And on another positive note, a client of mine from a good few years back (I think it was 5 years, not sure) got in touch a few hours after the previous journal entry to say he'd just found and framed the last piece I'd done for him, and requested a quoter for another piece of similar size (in this case 13x18cm, rather than 18x25). Again, nothing particularly amazing (it's private work for his bedroom wall rather than a massive piece for the opening of a new office block or the cover for a new million-selling novel), but it lifted my mood a bit, and it's always nice to get return trade (particularly as he paid over the market value last time).
